Preparatory Course for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Programme Objectives
Cambridge IGCSE is one of the world’s most popular international qualifications for students. It is recognised as a reliable record of attainment for entry into universities and colleges worldwide, and is an international academic passport to progression and success.
Cambridge IGCSE is comparable to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level system and the United Kingdom’s General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Cambridge IGCSE examinations are held twice a year (May/June and Oct/Nov) and candidates are to register with our College before the closing dates.

Admission Requirements
Intensive (5 Months)
- Completed at least Secondary Four Education or equivalent
- Minimum age: 14 years old (as at 1st January of the examination year)
- Language Proficiency: Completed Secondary Four English / Certificate in English (CIE) awarded by MDIS or equivalent / Achieve score of 75 and above in Duolingo English Test or equivalent
Year 7 (12 Months)
- Completed at least Primary Six Education / Year 6 or equivalent
- Minimum age: 12 years old (as at 1st January of the examination year)
- Language Proficiency: Completed Primary Six English / Year 6 English / Pass MDIS Certificate in English (CIE) Level 1 or equivalent / Achieve score of 55 and above in Duolingo English Test / Equivalent
Year 8 (12 Months)
- Completed at least Secondary One Education / Year 7 or equivalent
- Minimum age: 13 years old (as at 1st January of the examination year)
- Language Proficiency: Completed Secondary One English / Year 7 English / Pass MDIS Certificate in English (CIE) Level 1 or equivalent / Achieve score of 55 and above in Duolingo English Test / Equivalent
Year 10 (12 Months)
- Completed at least Secondary Three Education / Year 9 or equivalent
