Programme Objectives 

The Diploma in Industrial Management and Sustainability aims to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in managing industrial operations while integrating sustainable practices. The programme aims to produce graduates who are capable of managing industrial operations efficiently, ethically, and sustainably, contributing to the success and long-term viability of industrial organizations while minimising their environmental impact and promoting social responsibility that promote personal wellbeing, resilience, and sustainable caregiving practice.

Graduation Outcomes

By end of this programme, students will be able to:

  • Gain knowledge of operations, service, and quality management to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and process efficiency.
  • Recognise key sustainability challenges in industrial operations and apply strategies for responsible resource use and environmental impact reduction.
  • Develop skills in production planning and materials management, including inventory control, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization.
  • Understand the role of manufacturing processes and emerging technologies in improving industrial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Explain how marketing and management concepts, along with organizational psychology principles, influence team performance, leadership effectiveness, and business strategies in industrial settings.

Entry Requirements

MDIS Foundation Year Certificate

OR

At least 1 GCE 'A' Level Pass

OR

International applicants must have completed 12 years of formal education

OR

Mature Candidates of minimum 30 years old with 8 years of relevant work experience

 

English Language Requirements

C6 pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level 

OR

A grade C in IGCSE Level (either English 1st language or 2nd language)

OR

Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent

OR

MDIS English Placement Entrance Test (EPT) with a score mapped to IELTS 5.5

OR

MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE) (with a score of at least 5.5)

OR

MDIS EET (with a score of at least 5.5)

OR

Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English

OR

Achieve a minimum score of 95 and above in Duolingo English Test

OR

Equivalent
