Certificate in Integrated Care
Awarded by: MDIS
The MDIS Certificate in Integrated Care is a foundational qualification designed to introduce learners to the principles and practices of coordinated, person-centred health and social care across diverse settings. As Singapore shifts towards a seamless continuum of care—bridging hospital, home, and community (The Lancet Regional Health, Western Pacific, 2023) —this programme equips participants with the competencies to contribute meaningfully to integrated care teams and systems.
This certificate supports entry into healthcare, eldercare, and support services. Whether for caregivers, support staff, volunteers, or transitioning professionals, this programme fosters compassionate, efficient care delivery aligned with Singapore’s health and social care transformation agenda.
The programme aims are:
- Articulate the principles of integrated care, emphasizing its philosophical foundations and relevance within Singapore’s evolving health and social care landscape.
- Develop empathetic and effective communication skills tailored to caregiving contexts, fostering trust, understanding, and person-centred care.
- Collaborate in the implementation of foundational symptom management strategies to address common physical discomforts encountered across diverse care environments.
- Identify indicators of caregiver stress and apply practical self-care techniques that promote personal wellbeing, resilience, and sustainable caregiving practice.
