Programme Objectives
The Diploma in Psychology has been specially designed to:
- Equip students with applied psychology skills and to prepare them to embark on a psychology degree programme
- Focus on particular fields of applied psychology that includes organizational psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, personality aspects and historical issues related to psychology
- Expose students to research work in psychology
- Let students explore contemporary issues through a psychological lens
Assessment Methods
Combination of class participation, assignments, presentations and written examinations.
Graduation
Students who have successfully completed all coursework and examinations will be awarded the Diploma in Psychology.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be of age 16 and above and possess ONE of the following entrance requirements:
2 GCE 'A' Levels (Grade E at GCE A Levels in any 2 subjects)
OR
MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art
OR
MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Psychology
OR
International applicants must have completed 12 years of formal education
OR
Relevant Foundation Diplomas from other recognised local/overseas polytechnics or other PEIs (with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education)
OR
Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years relevant work experience)
English Language Requirements
Applicants are required to possess one of the following:
C6 pass for English at GCE ‘O’ Levels or equivalent
OR
Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent
OR
Pass in MDIS English Entrance Test (EET)
OR
MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE)
OR
1 IGCSE Level Pass (either English 1st language or 2nd language)
OR
Online English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by MDIS
OR
Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction (MOI) of the highest qualification to be English
