{"id":2647,"date":"2020-11-06T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T02:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mdis.edu.sg\/blog\/?p=2647"},"modified":"2021-10-12T17:13:20","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T09:13:20","slug":"my-agm-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mdis.edu.sg\/blog\/my-agm-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"My AGM Experience"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ms Zeynalova Ayan, an Azerbaijan student at MDIS pursuing the Bachelor\n(Hons) Degree in Arts from School of Fashion Design, awarded by Nottingham\nTrent University shares her experience in attending the MDIS 65<sup>th<\/sup>\nAnnual General Meeting (AGM), and her excitement in winning the first prize at\nthe AGM lucky draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI always knew that the Annual General Meeting would be held once a year, usually at the <a href=\"https:\/\/mnsgrp.com\/MDIS\/Campus\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"MDIS auditorium (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">MDIS auditorium<\/a>. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year it was held virtually and live streamed via zoom. My friends and I were very excited about watching it online. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was very interesting for us to hear updates on MDIS\nTashkent in Uzbekistan and the construction of the new four-storey building to\nbe completed by September 2020.&nbsp;&nbsp; The\nexpansion included the set-up of a financial training centre, multi-purpose\nhall, fashion laboratory, and additional classroom facilities that would allow\nMDIS Tashkent to accommodate another 3,000 new students on its campus. Owing to\nMDIS Tashkent\u2019s popularity as the first choice university, each year\napplications for admission to MDIS Tashkent keeps increasing.&nbsp; Last year the capacity was 300 and the number\nof applicants were 4,000.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was indeed elated to receive an email informing me\nthat I had won the first prize in the AGM lucky draw. I was even more excited\nwhen I heard it was a 32GB iPad (gold colour), which I liked very much.
