To assist students in paying the course fee, MDIS permits students to pay their
course fee by instalments. An administrative charge of S$100.00
(subjected to prevailing GST) will be levied on each late
instalment payment of the course fee..
Refund Policy
All application processing and membership entrance fees
paid to MDIS are non-refundable. Where the Student withdraws
from the Course, the PEO shall, as soon as practicable after
receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal (and
in any event no more than fourteen (14) working days after
receiving such notice), refund to the Student and only the
paid course fees are refundable on the following conditions:

Fee (For Local Students):
• In the event that the Student withdraws from the programme,
the application/registration fees, membership entrance fees
and the Student Protection Insurance Premiums, wherever applicable
is not refundable.
• The membership subscription fee for the year in which the
Student has withdrawn from the programme is not refundable.
However, the membership subscription fee for subsequent years
shall be refunded.
Non-tuition Fee (For International Students):
• In the event that the Student withdraws from the programme,
the application/ registration fees, membership entrance
fees, group medical insurance premium and Students Protection
Insurance Premiums, wherever applicable is not refundable.
• In the event that the Student’s application is rejected
by the University or his/her student’s pass is rejected
by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoint Authority
(ICA) before joining MDIS, 50% of the registration fee (excluding
prevailing GST) shall be refunded.
• In the event that the Student withdraws before the commencement
of the Professional Certificate in English (PCIE) at Advanced
Level, 50% of the skills enhancement fee and PCIE exam fee
(excluding prevailing GST) shall be refunded.
• The membership subscription fee for the year in which
the Student has withdrawn from the programme is not refundable.
However, the membership subscription fee for subsequent
years shall be refunded.
Withdrawal Policy
• Students with genuine financial difficulties and who wish
to withdraw from the course should write to MDIS for consideration.
All requests must be supported with documentary evidence.
Upon its final decision, the Institute shall inform the students
in writing within a week.
• Students should submit their withdrawal requests in writing
to the Student Services Manager/Senior Manager.

Transfer Policy
Transfer out
of MDIS to another school / institute
• An international student who requests for transfer to
another school/institute will be required to pay a transfer
application fee of S$500 (subjected to prevailing GST).
• The student shall be charged for all modules consumed
and all discounts/rebates that the student was entitled
to shall be forfeited. If there is any outstanding fee,
the student shall be advised to make payment before the
Institute process his/her transfer request.
• Any student who transfers out of MDIS to another school/institute
shall be deemed as having withdrawn from the Institute,
and the existing terms and conditions of MDIS' refund policy
shall follow.
Transfer within MDIS but to a different course
programme/downgrading of package
• All requests for transfer or downgrading of package must
be submitted in writing and supported with a transfer application
fee of S$500 (subjected to prevailing GST).
• The student will be charged for all modules consumed and
all transfer requests must be submitted before or within
30 days from commencement of class.
• The student shall be advised to make payment of any outstanding
fees before the Institute will process the transfer request.
• Transfer requests received after 30 days from class commencement
date will not be entertained. Students who insist on a transfer
will have their request processed as a withdrawal.
• In the event that a student has paid in excess of consumed
fees, the Institute will refund the unconsumed fee portion
accordingly.
