Pre-booking of training rooms for self-study purpose is not permitted. Only allow for booking of vacant rooms on a daily basis. That is, students can check with the respective centre on the day itself on availability of vacant rooms. Alternatively, you may use the Resource HUB in UniCampus.
Results for Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Higher Diploma and Graduate Diploma classes are released about 1 month after the last examination date for the term. Results for Degree and Postgraduate classes are released about 2 months after the last examination.
A student who is unable to be present for a main examination must obtain prior written approval from the institute for the intended absence. The student concerned must submit a letter with supporting documentary evidence to the Student Service Coordinator at least 14 calendar days (depending on reasons for absence) before the examination seeking such approval. Failure to do so will render the candidate ineligible to take the examination.
Leave of absence may be granted on the following grounds: (a) Reservist training; (b) Acceptable medical conditions; (c) Bereavement of parents, spouse or children; (d) Official overseas assignment
The student who fails to turn up for an examination without prior approval shall be deemed to have sat for and failed the main examination, unless he/she furnishes supporting documents to explain his/her absence to the student coordinator within 4 calendar days after the examination. The decision on whethe rthe student's reason for absence is acceptable is at teh sole discretion of the institute, whose decision is final.

New students while waiting for their Membership card to be processed may use their IC (for Singaporeans) or Student’s Pass (International Students) as proof of identity to use the library. Once they received their Membership Card, they are advised to bring it with them at all times for library transaction or spot check for membership status accordingly.
The changes may be due to the following reasons:Changes in dates by lecturers; Replacement for public holidays; Ad-hoc changes due to facilities / equipment requirements.
Life Sciences Programmes Assignments are to be submitted over the Student Service Counter at the MDIS UniCampus only.
If the submission is done after operating hours, the assignments should be dropped into the nightbox at the UniCampus (Levael 1 Lift Lobby). Students shoudl indicate their name, batch number, NRIC/Passport No., and the subject on their assignments as well as the acknowledgement form. They should keep the pink acknowledgement forms for future reference.
Other Programmes For pre-degree progarmmes, all assignments are to be handed directly to the lecturers.
For degree and postgraduate programmes, all assignments should be submitted over the Student Service Counter at the UniCampus or the Programme Consultation Counter at MDIS Dhoby Ghaut during operating hours.
If the submission is done after the operating hours, the assignments should be dropped into the nightbox at MDIS UniCampus (Level 1 Lift Lobby) or MDIS Dhoby Ghaut (Level 1).
Self-service photocopying facilities are available at the Resource HUB (UniCampus) and the 2nd level of MDIS Dhoby Ghaut Centre. You will need a cashcard for the photocopying service.
Plagiarism means 'handing in work, where you have used other people's materials so that it looks as if it is your own'. Plagiarism covers both direct copying and paraphrasing with minor adjustments. Students are expected to submit their own coursework and garduation projects for grading.
Students found submitting work done by other people or submitting work with large portions of unacknowledged materials will face disciplinary actiona dn may face expulsion from the course of study.
It is important for students to inform the Institute in writing of any changes in personal particulars including name, NRIC/Passport No., address and contact numbers.
Failure to notify the Institute will result in inconvenience including inability to notify students concerned of any changes in timetable, mailing of examination results, etc.

You may request to transfer your credits to continue your studies on-campus. However, you will be subjected to pay the course fee directly to the respective universities in their currency. You may approach your student coordinator to submit your request.

Students in the full-time day programmes are required to fulfill a minimum of 90% class attendance for each module/unit; failing which they will be barred from the examination for the module/unit concerned.
Students in the part-time evening programmes are required to fulfill a minimum of 80% class attendance for each module/unit; failing which they will be barred from the examination for the module/unit concerned.
