The School of Engineering is the latest addition to MDIS. It will open its door to its first batch of students in 2010. The School of Engineering's mission is to nurture engineering professionals in diverse disciplines through delivering first-class engineering education, teaching excellence and providing opportunity for leadership development.
To meet global challenges, the School will be offering two Higher Diploma in Engineering together with our world-renowned university partner, the University of Glasgow. Students, upon completion of their studies in Singapore, will have the option to enrol for a further one or two years of study on-campus in Glasgow to attain the BEng or MEng qualification.
To further assist students who are keen to embark on an exciting career in engineering but who do not have the pre-requisites to enter the HDE programmes, the School also offers the Diploma in Engineering course which is also recognised by the University of Glasgow. Upon successful completion of the Diploma programme to the University of Glasgow's required level of competencies, students are guaranteed admission to the first year of the Higher Diploma in Engineering in MDIS. Students may also choose to go on-campus and enter the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering programmes at the University of Glasgow.
