This course provides an overview of the standardized use of style and story structure that is inherent in professional writing for the mass media. AP style, major story structures, and techniques for both print and broadcast media will be included.

Students will learn the fundamental concepts that are necessary to develop a comprehensive advertising campaign for a professional client. Competitive analysis, market segmentation, research, creative development, media planning, budgeting, and campaign evaluation will be included.
Public Relations Concepts, Design, and Campaign Development
Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts that are necessary to develop a public relations campaign for a professional client. Issue analysis, audience segmentation, research, and strategic message development will be included.
