Memorandum of Understanding between Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and Singapore Teachers’ Union (STU)

The Singapore Teachers' Union (STU) is the largest teachers' organisation in Singapore and was founded in 1946. To support STU’s efforts to develop its members professionally and academically, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MDIS and STU’s to establish a strategic partnership in continuing education was formalized on 23 June 2011.

This endeavor will focus on providing a paradigm to support the Government’s initiative to encourage individuals to upgrade their skills and educational prospects.

The collaboration will further increase MDIS academic presence through various channels, and MDIS will be awarding study grants to deserving members of STU to enable them to pursue post-degree programmes at MDIS.
In addition, members of STU and their children would be eligible for special rebates if they choose to pursue pre-degree courses, selected training or seminars with MDIS.
