Human Capital Network Group The Human Capital Network Group (HCNG) is an effective platform for members who have an interest in the intricate field of Human Resource or Industrial Relations Management, to exchange ideas and network. Members can stay informed of the changing developments in the Human Resource or Industrial Relations (HR/IR) environment through our HR, career and work-related talks, workshops and seminars. HCNG Membership Fee • Biennial subscription fee of $20.00* for existing MDIS Individual Members and employees of Corporate Member. • Biennial subscription fee of $120.00* for new Ordinary/HCNG Membership. New members will be given 2 years Ordinary and HCNG membership. Ordinary membership entrance fees of $100.00 and HCNG biennial subscription fee of $20.00 will be waived for new Ordinary/HCNG Memberships. Public Speaking is a good means to improve your communication skills and to network with fellow members. MDIS PSNG works in a way where members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive and conducive environment. Members got to share their experiences and ideas among all fellow members. In MDIS PSNG, you’ll learn how to formulate, express and sell your ideas with poise and confidence. During the Public Speaking Session • Giving impromptu speeches. During the table topics, members learn to think on their feet by delivering one to two-minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics. • Presenting Prepared Speeches Three members will present speeches based on the topics given. A variety of assigned speeches help the participant to develop competency in areas such as organization, voice, language, gestures and persuasion. • Constructive Speech Evaluation After giving the speeches, an evaluator will point out the strengths and provides valuable insight into the problem areas to all the speakers. In this way, encouragement was given and confidence will be gained by the speakers. PSNG Benefits • Build confidence Members built up their confidence and self-esteem with each speaking assignment in a self-paced programme. • Practise makes prefect Public Speaking sessions are conducted every alternate month. This meeting allow members to have the opportunities to practise and hone their presentation and communication skills. • Regular workshops for PSNG members English language, presentation skills, speech craft, communication skills and motivational sessions are regular workshops conducted specially for PSNG members at a subsidized rate or complimentary basis. • Networking sessions Networking sessions are created for all our members every alternate month. During this gathering, members are involved with different themes where they can practise their communication skill through a fun-learning environment. This fosters bonding among members. • Quarterly Newsletter PSNG members receive a quarterly published newsletter that covers articles and events on communication skill.
