MDIS has moved into its brand new 3-hectare UniCampus at Stirling Road. With the UniCampus in place, MDIS will be one of the select few private education organisations (PEOs) in Singapore to have its very own campus grounds.
With this major expansion, MDIS will not only be able to significantly increase its student population, but also offer a range of new programmes and develop its own proprietary courseware. This expansion is in tandem with the Singapore Government's plan to make Singapore a 'Global Schoolhouse', offering quality education to the local and international students. Another campus is being planned. In the near future, MDIS plans to take in a total of 15,000 students, two-thirds of which will be foreign students.
The UniCampus was refurbished at a cost of S$35 million. It is equipped with modern teaching and sports facilities to provide students with a complete academic and learning environment.
The UniCampus caters to the various needs of the students, especially those from overseas, who may find it daunting studying in a new environment. With its growing foreign student numbers, MDIS is working on concrete plans to make school life and life in Singapore as hassle-free and comfortable as possible for its students.
