Student Ambassadors

The MDIS family is currently made up of students of 50 different nationalities. The well-being of our students is one of our top concerns. We appreciate that our students are far away from home, and wish to give them an environment where they can feel welcome and comfortable.

We have selected Student Ambassadors as a way for us to forge better communication channels between MDIS and our students. The Ambassadors exemplify the qualities of discipline, commitment, integrity, cheerfulness and pro-activeness. They will be the voice of the international students in all matters concerning student life in MDIS.

Our Ambassadors shall be buddies to new students, get involved in opinion groups and assist in MDIS publications. You might also get a glimpse of our Ambassadors when they share their experiences at MDIS overseas seminars and education fairs.

In addition to academic knowledge, the MDIS environment has given me new insights into the international arena. It also allows me to broaden my horizon in terms of thinking and opportunities.

I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. As an MDIS Student Ambassador, I aim to be the “guiding light” for international students in the MDIS community.

Richard Do Quy Trung
Hanoi, Vietnam
Graduated from the Arts & Culture College of Army
University of Bradford Business & Management undergraduate

I came to Singapore because I know that it has a conducive learning environment and superior educational facilities. When I first came to Singapore in 2001, I was greeted warmly by the MDIS staff and top management who helped me to adjust to the new environment I was in.

The course which I am taking broadens my views and exposes me to the different aspects and functions of business and management. I am confident that when I enter the working world, I can apply my knowledge and skills in a wide variety of careers.

Jessica Emiliana Lauwani
Malang, Indonesia
Graduated from Kolese Santo Yusof Malang
University of Bradford Business & Management undergraduate

MDIS has given me an opportunity to network, something I would not have been able to do if I had stayed in Indonesia. I get to interact and form new friendships with students from all over the world. This multi-national blend makes MDIS a place rich in culture and valuable experiences.

Lalgudi Seshasayee Jayalakshmi
Chennai, India
University of Wales MBA candidate

Friends of different nationalities have made my learning more comprehensive and helped me to view my career path from different and new perspectives. I like challenges and I find that the programme pushes me to think beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone. I know that the future for MDIS will be very bright and that MDIS will do much more to contribute to students’ welfare. I am really getting the best from MDIS.
