The purpose of the Change Management Foundation certification is to confirm that a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of Change Management to work as an informal member of a team working on an organizational change initiative. The Change Management Foundation certification is also a pre-requisite for the APMG Practitioner certification.

There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation course, however you should be prepared to bring along your work and life experiences with change.


The Change Management Foundation exam is a closed-book exam of 40 minutes duration. The pass mark is 50%.

Trainer's Profile

George Sloan is an experienced consultant with 20 years’ experience as a practitioner and educator in Project Management and Organisational Change.

He is a long standing member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), including being a Registered Project Manager and member of the Victorian AIPM annual Project awards, judging panel, with a focus on change management alignment and competency.

George has consulted in a broad range of public and private sector industries, including Minning and Manufacturing, Local and Federal Government including Defence and Airservices, Banking and Finance, Healthcare, Utilities, Higher Education and Not for Profit .

His experience includes working in large scale projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacfic Region.  This year George has been working on a multi-million dollar Defence project which included facilitating work shops with key stakeholders about the project strategic link and business requirements and then used this information as inputs into the Project plan and Change and Training Strategies, then worked on the successful implementation.
