Established in 1956, the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) is a fast growing not-for-profit professional training institute. We attribute our progress and expansion to our team of dedicated and committed staff and would like to invite suitably qualified personnel to join us.

Positions Available:

 
 
EXECUTIVE/OFFICER (EXAM UNIT)

You will be required to tabulate, check and release results.  You will also be involved in the updating of monitoring schedule and class reports.  In addition, you will be required to attend to students' status enquiries and appeals.  You shall oversee the processing and checking of transcripts and certificates.

Requirements:
* At least a Diploma and above
* Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field
* Meticulous and has an eye for details
* Able to handle stress and meet deadlines
* A team player and ability to multi-task

 
EXECUTIVE/OFFICER (FINANCE)

You will be responsible to update financial accounts and handle Accounts Receivable.  You are also required to maintain financial records and files.  In addition, you will be involved in bank reconciliation and preparation of schedule, etc.

Requirements:
* At least a Diploma, ACCA, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience 
* Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
* Independent, meticulous and a team player

 
 
COUNTRY MANAGER (INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS) - VIETNAM/INDONESIA/MYANMAR/LAOS/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

You will be responsible for driving revenues and profitability for all assigned accounts.  You will also be required to head product marketing and product development.  In addition, you will be responsible for the profitability and success of the assigned market.  You will be required to analyse business deelopment potential and championing new product ideas.  You will also be involved in the developing of strategic plans, sales strategies and make presentations to prospective customers.

Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Sales & Marketing
* At least 3 years of relevant working experience (preferably in training and education development) 

* Very strong sales and product development background
* Preferably with proven contacts and good relationship
* Effective communicator in both written and verbal communication
* Excellent Presentation Skills
* Strong leadership qualities with ability to drive strong team and client relationship
* Initiative, independent, energentic, result and service-orientated
* Effective team player and able to handle pressure
* Fluent in oral and written English and Local Language

 
LECTURER (SCHOOL OF LANGUAGES)

You will be responsible to prepare and deliver lecturer/tutorials.  You will be required to function as co-ordinator for one level in the PCIE programme, review and develop course curriculum, develop and updayte detailed lesson plans, course notes and other teaching/learning materials.  In addition, you are requried to supervise part-time lecturers teaching the particular PCIE level in all matters pertaining to its operations, maintain/update the examinations item bank including liaison with part-time lecturers, set nd mark course assignments/projects, exminations and other forms of assessments (ie. presentations, role-plays and group discussions). 

 You will also be required in the invilgilation duties during examination period and conduct other forms of assessments.  Other responsibilities include implementation of student welfare projects, counsel and discipline students when the need arises, participate in Student Orientation sctivities and undertake any other assignments as and when directed by the Head of Department.

Requirements:
* Degree in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent with at least a Diploma in TESOL
* At least 2 years of relevant working experience in related field

 
ASSOCIATE LECTURER (BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES)

Areas of specialization:

Requirement:
* At least a postgraduate qualification in the relevant area; preference will be given to PhD holders

* Minimum 5 years' work experience related to the selected specialization
* Preferably with at least 2 years of teaching experience

* Ability to impart knowledge and share industry experiences
* Excellent presentation and communications skills
* Able to teach both day and evening classes

 
FULL-TIME LECTURER (BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES)

You will be responsible to identify, evaluate and introduce new programmes.  You are required to co-ordinate with Central Planning Unit on timetable and lecturer appointment issues and as a marketing support during previews and student consultations.  You are also responsible up to 25 hours of lecturing per week on assorted programmes (to Honours level) and marking of all related assignments/tests, etc. 

In addition, you will be involved in the development of materials for all modules/all programmes and stanardization of materials (in collaboration with Associate Lecturers, University Partners and Director, School of Life Sciences).  You are to liaise with University Paretners on modular issues and notees (slides/practical guide) issues.  Other responsibilities include co-responsible for smooth running of lecturer functions and appointments (with Director, School of Life Sciences) and double-up in lab functions on ad-hoc basis.

Requirement:
* Minimum Masters Degree in a life or chemical science discipline (preference will be given to applicants with a PhD/MD and those with post-qualifying independent research experience)

* Minimum 2 years' teaching experience at a tertiary level in an English Language medium
* Able to relate to students of diverse academic and social backgrounds

* Multi-disciplinary academic experience will be beneficial
* International exposure and familiarity/experience with UK/Australian/US University Programmes will be advantageous

You will be responsible in the preparation of course notes and delivery of lectures.  You will be required to prepare exam papers and marking of exam assignments.  In addition, you will also be involved in the facilitation of programmes.

Requirements:
* At least a Bachelor's Degree in IT/Comouting/Multimedia/Digital Media
* Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in higher education environment
* Preferably a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCSE 2003)

* Experienced in Java, C++, VB, Macromedia Studio, etc.

 
ASSOCIATE TRAINERS/TRAINER - BANKING & FINANCE PROGRAMS

You will be responsible to develop course materials and deliver training to working professionals.

ASSISTANT MANAGER/SENIOR EXECUTIVE (MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT & CONSULTANCY)

You will be responsible to market and promote Management Development & Consultancy's Services.  You will also be required to achieve sales target and involve in Business Development.  In addition, you will be required to lead a team of Sales Executives.

Requirements:
* At least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of sales supervisory experience
* Good communications skills, possess strong work ethics and professional

 
MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER (SALES & MARKETING)

Position 1

You will develop, plan and oversee the implementation of marketing strategies. You will also organise sales, advertising and promotion activities to market academic programmes. To succeed in this job, you must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and must be result oriented and with the ability to lead and motivate a team of sales personnel in order to meet individual and Institute's enrolment target. 

Position 2 

You will implement strategies to ensure sales targets are achieved.  You will be required to conduct market resarch to determine market competitiveness and competitors' activities.  You will be also be required to process sales reporting including monthly review, lead the sales team to achieve the assigned target.  In addition, you will be responsible for the entire sales process, lead and drive the sales process through closure.  You will also be responsible for sales operations of all students recruitment.

Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Life Sciences/ Information Technology

* Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field, with at least 1 year's of  managerial experience
* Self-driven, highly motivated and results driven

* Mature and able to work  in a fast -paced environment
* Effective team player and able to communicate effectively at all levels
* Excellent communication and presentation skills

PROGRAMME (SALES) CONSULTANTS

You will be responsible for promoting and selling of academic courses and programmes.  You will develop and follow-up on new sales leads and meeting assigned sales targets.  You will be required to perform assigned marketing activities and provide excellent front-line customer service.  You will also be involved in Roadshows, Career Fairs and Programme Reviews.  You will support and implement the school's marketing activities and performing supporting marketing administrative functions.  You are expected to keep abreast of market practices and trends, update management on progress and performance of roadshows and key counters.

Requirements:
* Diploma/Degree preferably in Business, Marketing or Tourism & Hospitality 
* At least 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
* Good communication, interpersonal and administrative skills
* Effective team player and able to communicate effectively at all levels
* Ability to multi-task and handle pressure
* Willing to commit to longer hours during seasonal sales period


  
EXECUTIVE/OFFICER (STUDENT SERVICE UNIT)

You will be responsible for advising students on administrative matters and preparation of course materials for students. You will also be responsible for maintaining the students' database for administrative reports and tracking.  Other responsibilities include co-ordinating on orientation and monitoring the progress of the students. 

Requirements:
* Recognised Degree or Diploma in Business Administration/Management with at least 1 year of relevant working experience
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to handle stress and meet deadlines
* Meticulous and has an eye for details

 
CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (STUDENT SERVICE UNIT)

You are to handle and assist student enquiries and feedback in a service centre environment and you are required to work closely with the Student Services Coordinators to provide support to students. In addition, you are to provide administrative assistance to the department perform general clerical tasks. 

Requirements:

* At least a GCE "O" level with at least of 1 year of relevant experience
* Experienced in handling customer enquiries an advantage
* Pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
* Passion in Customer Service
* Billingual in English and Mandarin
* Able to perform shift work
