Assistant Manager, Overseas Business (B2B Hunter role) (Management Development and Consultancy)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new and potential clients to achieve and exceeding sales targets for overseas training programmes and consultancy services
  • Develop and grow sales pipelines to produce successful business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Achieve sales activities within the specified time schedule
  • Liaise with overseas business agents to support marketing promotional activities
  • Perform adhoc tasks as assigned by Supervisor as and when required
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing or relevant discipline
  • At least two years of consultative sales experience, preferably in training or events industry with regional exposure
  • Sales-driven and results-oriented to achieve sales
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

The MDIS International Business (IB) sales team provides professional consultation and advice to our prospective international students on our well-accredited academic programmes and activities to prepare and help them stay competitive in the new knowledge economy.
 

Country Manager (International Business)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new avenues of business with existing and new business partners (education consultants)
  • Identify new markets and develop new strategies that capitalise on the growth opportunities
  • Organise marketing campaign and provide administration support to overseas school partners
  • Conduct market research and organise marketing activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Public Relations with minimum 2 years of relevant sales and/ or marketing experience
  • Result oriented, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in second/ foreign language would be an advantage to liaise with associates
 
 

Management Trainee (International Business)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Institute professionally to provide information on the academic programmes available
  • Provide consultation to prospective students and attend to enquiries through phone, email and walk-in appointments.
  • Establish new relationships and foster existing relationships with students, through proactive telephone calls, emails, arrange meetings, and conduct sales presentations
  • Follow-up on leads, course applications, enrolments and payments via phone, email and social media platforms
  • Identify new markets and develop new strategies that capitalise on growth opportunities
  • Organise marketing campaigns and provide administrative support to overseas partners
  • Assist the International Business sales team in marketing activities and administrative duties
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field with sales and/or marketing work experience
  • Result oriented, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in second/foreign language such as Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia or Japanese would be an advantage to liaise with associates

The MDIS Local Business (LB) sales team provides professional consultation and advice to our prospective students on our well-accredited programmes so as to prepare and help them to stay competitive in the new knowledge economy.
 

Senior Manager / Manager (Local Business)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the sales team and setting the overall strategic plans for Local Business department
  • Develop business plan and implement strategies for growth
  • Plan and set directions, coordinate the effort of department staff towards achieving the institute’s goal
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies
  • Liaise and work closely with the Head of Schools on their budget
  • Analyse the market trend and formulate the counter strategies
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business/ Marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the Education sector
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, mature, proactive and self-motivated

 

Assistant Manager (Local Business)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, expense controls and meeting agreed targets
  • Recruit students for part-time and full-time academic courses and programmes
  • Participate in roadshows, career fairs and course preview sessions
  • Attend to walk-in enquiries and handle programme enquiries via phone, emails and social media platforms
  • Follow-up, handle and manage leads, course applications, enrolments and payments
  • Ad hoc tasks assigned by superior where required
 
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in any discipline with at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the education or retail industry
  • Self-motivated and sales driven
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to multi-task and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with social media platforms (namely LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Senior Programme Consultant / Programme Consultant (Local Business)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Institute professionally to provide information on the academic programmes available
  • Drive enrolment for part-time and full-time academic programmes
  • Follow-up on leads, course applications, enrolments and payments via phone, email and social media platforms
  • Work alongside with the Management to achieve individual and overall team enrolment targets
  • Participate in roadshows, career fairs and programme previews
  • Work with team to achieve student progression numbers and revenue targets for local students
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma qualification, preferably with 2 years of sales experience in Retail
  • Familiar with social media platforms and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Highly adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Candidates who are sales and result-driven
  • Required to work shifts
 
*Candidates with higher educational qualifications and working experience will be considered for the Senior Programme Consultant (Local Business) position.

Management Accountant (Finance)

 

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing costing of programmes
  • Analysing company's financial performance and making short / long term forecasts
  • Controlling and analysing expenditure to maximise the Operating Income (OI)
  • Provide key data to managers for planning and controlling, as well as costing of products & services
  • Working with all departments and the Management in making financial decisions
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or CPA certified
  • Must be familiar with cost accounting concepts and practices
  • At least 3 years of experience in cost accounting and budgeting
  • Good knowledge of computerised accounting system
  • Self-starter, hands-on and able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

 

 

 

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND E-LEARNING SERVICES

 

The MDIS E-Learning (ELD) department offers interesting and innovative means of e-learning methodology to the Schools via online academic courses and video tutorials.

Senior Executive / Executive (E-Learning Department)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Execute the operational effectiveness of the E-Learning system (Blackboard) and the Video streaming system (Echo 360) in line with the Institute’s business rules and processes
  • Support Blended/ E-Learning projects for the Institute
  • Support other E-Learning functions that will drive the Institute to be proficient with the available tools and technology
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) / Multimedia / Network / Instructional Design or relevant qualification
  • Experience in managing IT School operation and E-Learning support for internal and external stakeholders, such as staff and students
  • Experience in managing system administration of Blackboard, Echo360 or other LMS system
  • Good knowledge of Windows Servers, network operations, PC troubleshooting, multimedia and video recording

 


 

ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES

 

The MDIS School of Languages (SOL) offers English Language programmes for those who are interested in pursuing a tertiary education in the English medium. Upon completion of the Advanced Level, students are awarded the Professional Certificate in English (PCIE). The school aims to place students at an adequate proficiency level and develop students' confidence in using the language for daily communication and academic work.

Executive / Officer, School Support (School of Languages)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the administrative duties related to the School’s daily operations
  • Assist with timely allocation of marking for English Proficiency Tests (EPTs) English Entrance Tests (EETs) and exam scheduling
  • Provide support to the School’s lecturers for academic-related matters
  • Develop and sustain communications with stakeholders such as students and other relevant departments
  • Support the Head of School with quality assurance matters in relation to Committee for Private Education (CPE) requirements and other International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards
  • Prepare departmental and other required reports for the School
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Head of School
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or relevant field

Café Supervisor (School of Tourism and Hospitality)

 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food menu planning and food preparation for the Café and cater for Lunch Events
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen including product ordering and maintaining inventory
  • Provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel and assist with staff scheduling
  • Ensure all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet specifications and commitment to quality
  • Maintain a safe, orderly and clean kitchen
 
Requirements:
  • Trained in Culinary skills with good knowledge / level of cooking and production experience
  • ServSafe or other recognised food and beverage safety and / or hygiene certification required
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a food preparation / supervisory role with a commercial kitchen
  • Committed to quality service and food knowledge
  • Possess good understanding of proper use of major kitchen equipment including stove, refrigeration, knives and warmers
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Word

CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION SERVICES

 

The MDIS Corporate Administration (CA) department provides council support and general administration service for the Institute.
 

Business Analyst (Corporate Administration)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Study and analyse various business units, financial and operational performance in line with the Institute's strategic objectives and goals
  • Recommend any requirement of workflow re-engineering in order to ensure efficient and timely achievement of macro goals at a high & consistent return on investment (ROI)
  • Identify and evaluate options for improving business operations in meeting the needs of the business
  • Define various business/ industry/ macro issues with identification of root causes, probable implications and recommend immediate, short-term and/or long term action plans
  • To review the revenue generating streams and various costs (i.e. variable and fixed) and to recommend improvements to increase the bottomline
  • Study and assess operational updates from all departments and address potential implications to ensure smooth pre-sales and post-sales customer service delivery
  • Be a wide-angle lens for the Institute to analyse how departmental issues may create an impact at the enterprise level
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Finance or relevant field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in business analysis, preferably in the education / service sector
  • Basic accounting experience would be advantageous
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively at all levels

 

 

 

PROPERTY AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

 

Technician (Property Management Department)

 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible in performing repairs, preventive and maintenance works e.g. classroom facilities
  • Carry out routine checks on campus facilities, including AV equipment
  • Supervise contractors’ work when required
  • Provide technical knowledge and back-up and ensure successful completion of scheduled activities
     
Requirements:
  • Minimum NTC3 in Electrical related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably in a school environment
  • Knowledge in audio, video, projector and sound system will be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Able to work shifts and weekends
