			When will I receive my membership card? You will receive your membership card within 2 months after commencement of course.

			When and how can I receive my results? Pre-degree – within 2 months after exam via hardcopy. Degree / Master – within 3 to 4 months after exam with UOB Degree, UOW Degree and Master via hardcopy and the rest online.

			When can I receive pre-degree certificate? You will receive your certificate 2 months after your last results slip.

			When can I receive course schedule and timetable for new term? You can receive the course schedule and next term timetable 2 weeks before the term starts.

			When can I receive my examination appeal result? Pre-degree – 3 weeks after appeal. Degree / Master – depends on university.

			How many times can I resit my examination for pre-degree programmes? You can resit for 4 times per module. This is inclusive of remodule.

			Where can I go to hand in assignments? Pre-degree – all assignments to be handed directly to the lecturers (except School of Life Science). Degree / Master – all assignments and practical reports can be submitted over the counter (during office hours) or into night boxes at Unicampus or at Dhoby Ghaut (after office hours).

			Who do I approach if I cannot reach the coordinator for queries? There is a buddy system in place. You can email to the coordinator, or Ms Deepam (deepam@mdis.edu.sg) or Ms Carol (carol_chanml@mdis.edu.sg) Also, they can contact ssu@mdis.edu.sg for any feedback. A note has been posted to all notice boards.



			MDIS Business School (University of Bradford)
			When can I receive my UB number? You will receive your UB number within 1 month after course commencement.

			When will I receive my certificate and transcript? Pre-degree – 2 months after last results. Degree – during graduation.

			Is there any condition entry for pre-degree? Diploma to Advance Diploma – 6 out of 8 modules. Advance Diploma to Degree – 6 out of 8 modules.

			How many times can I resit my examination? You can resit for 4 times per module.



			MDIS Business School (Other Universities)
			Is there any conditional entry to the degree programme? There is no conditional entry. You must clear all of your pre-degree modules.

			How many times can I resit my exam? For ECU and SCU degrees there is no supplementary paper. You are required to remodule and can resit for 3 times per module. For UOW, you can resit for 4 times per module.

			How long is the duration to complete the course for UOW degree? You are required to complete the course in 5 years.

			Can UOW degree students change specification? You have to write in to request to change specification. It is allowed only during the 1st year.

			Can a 1st year student take a 3rd year module fro UOW degree programme? No.

			How do I register for the modules for ECU programme? You would need to fill in the IP Unit Selection form. Once completed, you are to submit to ecu@mdis.edu.sg by the dateline. Failure to do so would result in no modules officially registered to you for the term.

			Can I know the procedure to graduate from ECU programme? The official ECU transcript/parchment would be out only after you have applied for it via SIMO. Upon passing all required modules, SIMO would show an icon for you to apply for graduation. You can choose to attend the Convocation in Perth and receive your transcript/parchment or you can choose to have it sent to you after the Convocation in Perth. 			School of Travel & Tourism
			Why is the students' name printed wrongly in UOS transcript and certificate? UOS generally use the student’s surname as the last name and this casues the name to be printed wrongly in the C&T. A new name verification form has been created and all the students are required to fill up the form during the orientation. All completed forms are sent to UOS to ensure that names are printed correctly in the C&T.

			Why is the Topic 3 removed from all the pre-degree Travel & Tourism course notes? Students are encouraged to download the Topic 3 from the MDIS Blackboard. This gives the student a chance to familiarise themselves with the MDIS Blackboard.

			Is there any conditional entry for the degree programme? UOS degree – no conditional entry. SCU degree – must pass 6 out of 8 modules in pre-degree.



			School of Life Sciences
			Is there any conditional entry from Foundation to Degree? There is no conditional entry.

			Can student opt for ordinary degree? You may opt for ordinary degree and once you opt for it, you are not allowed to top up for honours degree.



			School of Media & Communication
			Do I need to clear all the levels before I can progress? Yes, you have to clear all the level before progression.

			How many times can I resit my degree exam? There is no supplementary paper. You are required to remodule and you can resit 3 times for each module.

			When can I receive my Banner ID and OCU ID? You will receive them within the 1st term of your degree programme.



			School of Technology & E-Learning
			Will I be granted exemption for elective modules? Only the students with qualification in relevant fields from local polytechnic may be granted exemptions. All the exemptions should be given based on the evaluation when the student submits the application.

			Can I know more about the UOB residency? For UOB BC, it is compulsory for all the students to stay at the campus hostel. Spouses are not allowed in the hostel. The air ticket and spending on campus are self-sponsored. The students are required to book tickets by themselves.

			How do I know which module to enroll in? For ECU IT degree enrollment, the students will be assigned the subjects by the University and announced by the course coordinator. The students who do not meet pre-requisite due to results from previous semester may be asked to withdraw. The students are allowed to appeal for additional subjects to study, which is subjected to approval by the University.

			Am I supposed to apply for my graduation online? Yes. For ECU IT, upon completing the course, the transcript and course completion letter will be posted to MDIS directly after 1 month. The students are required to apply for graduation online upon receiving the transcript and completion letter. The instruction on how to apply graduation online will be stated on the completion letter. The certificate should be requested at the same time when the students apply for course graduation, or the certificate will not be issued automatically.



			School of Languages
			When can I receive my exam results? Basic level – 3 days after the examination date. Advance level – 3 - 4 weeks after the examination date.

			When will the supplementary exam be if I failed? Supplementary exam will be the day after the collection of result for both levels.

			When can I receive my certificate? You can receive your certificate 2 months after the release of your result.

			Is there any conditional entry? Pre-degree – allowed conditional entry to pre-degree course. However, if the student fails, he needs to remodule before rejoining the course. Degree / Master – no conditional entry.



			Postgraduate
			When and where can collect my textbooks? Textbooks are normally available 2 weeks before class commence. You may collect either at Dhoby Ghaut or Unicampus. You will be notified on the venue of collection.

			When and how can I collect my certificate and transcript? You can collect your certificate and transcript during graduation ceremony.

			When can I collect my course notes? You will get your course notes on the 1st day of the lesson.

			When can I get my university ID? You will receive your university ID within 6 weeks from your course commencement.

			How many times can I resit my exam? UOB & UOW – 2 attempts OCU, SCU & ECU – there is no resit. If you fail a module, you have to remodule.
