Academic Positions

  FULL-TIME SNR/LAB EXECUTIVE

You will be required to develop and run engineering lab exercises, create teaching kits, lab posters, showcases of machine parts, and the development of lab safety regulations and instructions for proper usage of equipment.

You will also be required to ensure proper equipment maintenance, documentation for auditing purposes, and the purchase of consumables.

For staff with relevant experience, you will be given opportunities to provide equipment demonstration and facilitate and support students in their projects, as well as, perform external consultation work and be involved in workshops and seminars.

Requirements:
Diploma or above in Engineering
At least 2 years relevant industrial or laboratory experience
Able to communicate with vendors, students and lecturers
Experience with CNC and welding equipment preferred
Knowledge of engineering software preferred

  FULL-TIME LECTURER (SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES)
You will be responsible to identify, evaluate and introduce new programmes. You are required to coordinate with Central Planning Unit on timetable and lecturere appointment issues and as a marketing support during previews and student consultations. You are also responsible up to 25 hours of lecturing per week on assorted programmes (to Honors level) and marking of all related assignments/tests, etc.

In addition, you will be involved in the development of materials for all modules/all programmes and standardisation of materials (in collaboration with Associate Lecturers, University Partners and Director, School of Life Sciences). You are to liaise with University Partners on modular issues and notes (slides/practical guide) issues. Other responsibilities include co-responsible for smooth running of lecturer functions and appointments (with Director, School of Life Sciences) and double-up in lab functions on ad-hoc basis.

Requirements:
Minimum Masters Degree in a life or chemical science discipline (preference will be given to applicants with a PhD/MD and those with post-qualifying independent research experience)
Minimum 2 years' teaching experience at tertiary level in an English Language medium
Ability to relate to students of diverse academic and social backgrounds
Multi-disciplinary academic experience will be beneficial
International exposure and familiarity/experience with UK/Australian/US university programmes will be advantageous

  LECTURER (SCHOOL OF LANGUAGES)
You will be responsible to plan, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials. You could be required to function as course coordinator which entails the development and/or revision of syllabus, course curriculum, teaching/learning, and examination materials and other relevant documentation. In addition, you will be involved in invigilation duties and various forms of marking and assessments. Other responsibilities and assignments would be at the discretion of the Head of Department.

Requirements:
A recognized Degree in Education/Linguistics/English Language
A Diploma in TESOL would be advantageous
