	S$900,000 set aside for this fund Application is open to all International students pursuing degree and postgraduate programmes S$1,500 rebate will granted Applications close on 30 June 2010

Merit Scholarship

	S$110,000 set aside for this fund Applicants must have good academic results Applications are subject to a selection committee

Scholarship and Bursary Awards

	S$300,000 set aside for this fund 10 grassroots agencies including Sinda, Mendaki, CDAC and others make recommendations on applicants’ suitability subject to a final say by MDIS’ Selection Committee To date S$3.5 million have been given out S$8 million has been allocated Award ceremony was held on 24 April 2010 529 bursaries and 13 Scholarships were awarded

Senior Citizen Rebate Schemes

	$3 million set aside for this scheme Started in 2008 Applicable to those aged 50 and above Rebate of S$1,000 for Diploma/Higher Diploma Rebate of S$2,000 for 2-year Degree programme Rebate of S$3,500 for 3-year Degree / Masters programme

Study Loan Scheme

	S$3 million set aside for this loan scheme Its open to all existing MDIS students The scheme is to help students stay in school instead of dropping out due to economic reasons or financial difficulties
